Christman Tree Pull-Apart Brerad

Ingredients

  • 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 ounces mozzarella, cut into 32 pieces
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, warmed

Preparation

Step 1



Place dough in a bowl coated with olive oil. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and let stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes

Heat oven to 450 degrees . Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and cut into 32 equal pieces. Form dough balls around mozzarella and arrange in a Christmas tree pattern (see Note) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush dough with egg and pour melted butter over top. Combine Parmesan and garlic salt; sprinkle over dough. Bake 15 minutes, until golden brown

Slide parchment onto a serving platter. Scatter basil on top and serve with marinara alongside.
