Sweet and Sour Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3 cans French style beans
  • 3 pieces bacon
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup ketchup

Preparation

Step 1

Drain beans. Put in casserole dish.

Fry 3 pieces of bacon and remove from skillet. Saute onion in bacon drippings. Break bacon. Add onion, sugar, vinegar, ketchup. Bring to a boil. Simmer about 10 minutes. Pour sauce over green beens. Bake at 350º until bubbly (about 30 minutes).
