Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 3/4 cup shredded, old cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese. Add cream and stir until dough forms, about 30 seconds. Transfer dough to countertop and knead for about 30 seconds. Make sure it is mixed but not over mixed.
Pat dough into 8-inch circle and cut into 8 wedges. Place on baking sheet. Bake immediately after cutting them - if you allow them to sit they won't rise properly in the oven. Bake until just beginning to brown, about 7 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese on each biscuit and return to oven, rotating baking sheet. Bake until golden brown and cheese has melted, about 7 minutes more. Serve warm.
