Ingredients
- peanut butter frosting:
- 2 1/3 c. Gold medal all-purpose flour
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 1/2 medium)
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. finely chopped nuts
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 c. peanut butter
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- l/4 to 1/3 c. milk

Step 1
Peanut butter frosting: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom and sides of 1 rectangular pan, 13 inches x 9 inches x 2 inches; lightly flour. Beat all ingredients except peanut butter frosting with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Frost with Peanut Butter Frosting: Stir together peanut butter and powdered sugar in large bowl. Stir in vanilla and milk. Beat with spoon until smooth and spreadable.
