STUFFED MUSHROOMS

  • 8 large mushrooms
  • 1/2 C bread crumbs
  • 1/4 C parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 C milk
  • 3/4 t garlic powder
  • 1 t parsley
  • 1 t oregano
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)

Preparation

Step 1

Remove the stems from the mushrooms. Chop stems and onion finely. Melt 1/4 lb butter (1 stick) in pan. Saute chopped stems and onions. When onions are clear place mixture in a bowl, add dry ingredients. Add some milk so that the mixture is the texture of paste. If too dry, add more milk. Place 1/4 t butter in each mushroom stem cavity. Fill with mixture. Place another 1/2 t butter on top. Place stuffed mixture in greased pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
