Spicy Vodka Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/4 c Tomato Paste
  • 1/3 c Vodka
  • 2/3 c Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tblsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Garlic Clove, pressed
  • Salt & Coarsley Groung Pepper to Taste
  • Yields Approx. 1 C sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Place pepper flakes,m tomato paste, vodka and cream in small bowl. Add oil to saucepan, add garlic and cook 30-45 seconds or until fragrant (DO NOT BROWN) Add tomato paste, cook and stir 1-2 min or until tomato paste begins to caramelize. Add vodka and pepper flakes, cook 2 min or until mixture begins to thicken. Add cream, bring to a simmer and immediately remove from heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with pasta, cooked chicken or shrimp.
