Pineapple Cake Filling

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup (one 8 ounce can) crushed pineapple, drained

Preparation

Step 1

In top part of double boiler mix sugar, flour, and salt.

Stir in egg yolks and milk.

Cook and stir over boiling water until thick.

Stir in butter and pineapple.

Spread between cake layer(s).
