SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350 OVEN 60 TO 80 MINUTES. COOL 5 MINUTES IN PAN. REMOVE AND COOL THOROUGHLY.

Ingredients
- Optional:
- 1 C Butter
- 2 3/4 C Sugar
- 2 tsp. Vanilla
- 6 Eggs
- 3 C Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 C Sour Cream
- 1 C Chopped Pecans and or 1 1/2 C Chopped Cranberries with 2 1/2 tsp. Grated Orange Rind
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time beating thoroughly after each addition. Sift flour, salt and soda together 3 times. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition. Stir in pecans, cranberries and orange rind by hand. Pour into buttered 9" tube pan. BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350 DEGREE OVEN 60 TO 80 MINUTES. Cool 5 minutes in pan. Remove and cool thoroughly.
