Mexican Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 pound meat, cut, trimmed and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 onions, cut into rings
  • 2 large green peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 ( 1 pound 12 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 (10 ounce) can enchilada sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 (7 ounce) can taco sauce
  • 2 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 (7 ounce) can chopped green chiles

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat in oil. Add onions, green peppers and simmer 30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly until meat is tender (approximately 1 1/2 hours).
