Ingredients
- 12 Jalapeno peppers
- 1 Lb ground Italian Sausage
- 2 C All-purpose baking mix (Bisquick)
- 1 Lb Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 Dash Cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 Lb Pepper-jack cheese, cubed
- 1 Oz Bacon, crisply cooked and Finely chopped
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat smoker to 275 degrees
2. Lightly grease a medium baking sheet.
3. Cut a slit in each jalapeno pepper.
4. Remove and discard seeds and pulp.
5. In a medium bowl, mix sausage, baking mix, cheddar cheese, cayenne pepper, and garlic.
6. Stuff jalapenos with the pepper jack cheese cubes and bacon bits.
7. Shape sausage mixture around the jalapenos to form balls.
8. Arrange jalapeno balls on the prepared baking sheet.
9. Bake 2 hours in smoker. First hour with smoke second with just heat.
