Ingredients
- 2 lbs. pork shoulder, cut into strips
- 1 green pepper, cut into strips
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 3/4 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped sweet pickles
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup pineapple syrup (reserved from pineapple chunks)
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- cups pineapple chunks
Preparation
Step 1
Place pork strips in slow cooker.
Add green pepper, onion, carrots and pickles.
In bowl, mix together brown sugar and cornstarch. Add water, pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce. Stir until smooth.
Pour over ingredients in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours. One hour before serving, add pineapple chunks. Stir.
Adjust seasoning if needed.
Serve over buttered noodles.
