Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal and Dried Cherry Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

In a medium bowl, with whisk, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, with mixer on medium speed, beat sugars and buter 2-3 minutes or until creamy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla and beat until combined. Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, cherries and nuts.

Lightly spray cookie sheet with nonstick spray. Drop by tablespoonfuls to cookie sheet. Bake cookies for 16-18 minutes or until edges of cookies are golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet for one minute then transfer to wire rack.
