- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- finely grated zest of 1 lemon
- the strained juice of 1 lemon
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch until blended. Gradually stir in the water and the lemon zest. Heat, stirring until mixture comes to a boil; continue stirring until mixture thickens, then add lemon juice and lemon slices. Serve warm.
