Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 Pound ground hamburger
- 1 Cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- ½ Cup milk
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ Teaspoon oregano
- Salt and Pepper
- 8Oz package Manicotti pasta stuffing (14 shells/box)
- Romano cheese
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- 1 Pound can tomatoes
- 2 (8Oz) cans tomato paste
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- ½ Teaspoon pepper
- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ Teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 6 Cups water
- 1 bay leaf

Step 1
Sauce Directions:
1. Saute onion in oil. Add tomatoes mashed and tomato paste. Add water and bring to a boil on high heat. Reduce heat and add all other ingredients. Stir well and cook slowly for about 1½ hours.
Manicotti Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients with 1 Pound of beef. When well mixed, slightly brown meat mixture in frying pan. Remove from heat and let cool.
2. Cook Manicotti shells in salted water. Drain and let cool.
3. Stuff Manicotti shells with meat mixture. Put a little spaghetti sauce in bottom of 3-inch deep pan, then put a layer of stuffed Manicotti on top of sauce. Sprinkle with Romano cheese. Repeat with second layer. Cover with sauce and sprinkle top with Romano cheese. Bake in oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.
