Peanut Brittle


Homemade peanut brittle is so easy to make, and oh, so delicious! It makes for a perfect holiday gift for the person with a sweet tooth on your list!

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup Karo
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Cooking time 80mins


Step 1

Bring water to a boil. Add the sugar and Karo, stir until dissolved and boil until it reaches 230°F with a candy thermometer.

Add the peanuts and cook slowly over a low heat until it turns golden brown.

Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla, and soda, stir quickly and spead on buttered pan. Place in a cold area.

Break into bite sized pieces after hard.
