loaf frozen bread, thawed
lb. Italian sausage or turkey sausage
cup shredded mozzarella cheese
tsp basil leaves
eggs or egg beaters
Fry sausage until brown. Drain and cool. Mix in cheese, spices and one well beaten egg. Let sit while you roll bread dough to approximately 10 x 16. Place sausage mixture on dough and roll up from long side. Form ring and seal. Make cuts 1 - 1-1/2 inches apart on top. Beat egg and brush on top. Let rise until double in size (about 35- 40 minutes) Sprinkle top with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
