Chocolate Star Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 package chocolate stars
• 1/2 ½ C. shortening
• 1/2 ½ C. peanut butter
• 1/2 ½ C. sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 Tbsp. milk
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 3/4 1 ¾ C. flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 ½ tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugar, cream well. Add the egg, milk and vanilla. Beat. Sift flour, soda ad salt together and add gradually.

Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 5-6 minutes. Remove pan and put a star in the center until top of cookie cracks. Return to oven 2-5 minutes.
