Oatmeal Bread

Layer shaved smoked turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce leaves, and thinly sliced tomato between two slices of this hearty, oaty bread for an our-of-the ordinary lunchtine meal.

Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c quick-cooking rolled oats
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tbsp margarin, butter or shortening
- 3 1/3 c. bread flour
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
Preparation
Step 1
Select 2 pound loaf size. Spread the oats in a shallow baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until light brown, stirring occasionally. Cool.
Add the ingreadients to the machine according to the manufacturer's directions adding the oats with the flour. If available select the whole grain cycle, or select the basic white bread cycle.
