DUMPLINGS ROLLED

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Put 1 cup flour in bowl, make hole in center and place butter in hole and pour in boiling water. Stir until smooth. Add beaten eggs and remaining flour to which the salt and baking powder has been added. Blend well, add more flour if needed to make the dough stiff enough to roll. Turn onto floured board, roll as thin as possible, cut into small squares and drop one at a time into boiling broth. Simmer 15-20 minutes.
