Ingredients
- 12 oz uncooked ziti
- 2 tsp olive oil
- chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/3 lb Boca crumbles
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- salt and pepper
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta, dain and set aside.
Meanwhile heat oil and saute onions and garlic. Add crumbles and cook until brown.
Add spices. Cook until herbs become fragrant. Add tomatoes and bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Spoon a small amount of sauce onto bottom of 9x13 pan. Top w/half of pasta. Next layer with 1/2 of sauce and 1/2 cheese. Repeat layers. Bake until cheese is golden and bubbly; about 30 minutes.
