Canoli Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tbs. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • ½ cup dry Marsala wine
  • 2 beaten egg whites

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, sugar, and salt. Work in the wine, and form a stiff dough. Form the mixture into a ball and wrap in plastic. Rest the dough at room temperature for one hour. Roll dough into 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out dough into 5 inch round diameter circles. Deep fry in heated oil (350 degrees) and drain.
