  • 4 Golden Delicious, McIntosh, Gala, or Braeburn Apples
  • 4 TB packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup low fat granola
  • 1 TB butter, melted

Step 1

Spray 8 inch square microwavable dish with nonstick spray. Combine the apples, 3 tablespoons of the sugar, 1/2 tsp of the cinnamon, and the nutmeg in a bowl; mix well. Transfer the apple mixture to the baking dish.

Combine the granola, butter, remaining 1 TB sugar, and remaining 1/4 tsp cinnamon in a bowl; mix well. Sprinkle the granola mixture evenly over the apples. Microwave, uncovered, on high until the apples are tender and bubbling, 8 - 9 minutes.
