Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Pork cubes
  • 1 can Pineapple
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp 5 Spice Powder
  • Salt
  • 4 tbs Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 2 tbs Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • Cilantro
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Drain pineapple juice into a sauce pan. Add the ground ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar and stir. Cook on a slow simmer until thickened.

Salt the cubed pork and let rest. I a plate add the flour, salt to taste and 5 spice powered. Mix well. I a bowl whisk the eggs. Heat oil in a pan for frying. Dip the meat in the egg then coat with flour mixture. and fry until golden brown. Remove meat from oil and drain on paper towels.

Chop onion, bell pepper and pineapple into 1 inch pieces. Slice up the garlic. Saute onion and bell pepper in onion with a pinch of salt. Add garlic. Cook for 5 minutes and add pineapple. Cook for 3 minutes more.

Add pork and toss with sweet and sour sauce to coat.
