Ingredients
- 6 T butter
- 1 T minced onion
- 1/2 C flour
- 3-6 C chicken broth
- 2 C cooked wild rice
- 1 C cooked chicken
- 1/2 C finely shredded carrots
- 3 t chopped slivered almonds
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 C half and half
- 2 t dry sherry (optional)
- parsley
- chives
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter and saute onion. Blend in flour and stir in broth. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Boil and stir one minute. Stir in rest of ingredients except half and half. Simmer five minutes and add half and half.
