Cranberry Orange Sauce

Shirl Cooper's recipe for cranberry sauce. Add Orange if you like.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh/frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water, or
  • 1/2 cup frozen concentrated orange juice
  • 1 orange - zest

Preparation

Step 1

Boil sugar and water. Add berries. Cook about 10 minutes in all, or until berries are quite soft. Stir to break up berries. Refrigerate or freeze, makes 2 1/2 cups.

For Cranberry Orange, substitute 1/2 cup water for orange juice. and add zest from whole orange.
