Ingredients
- 4 tbs. butter
- 5 tbs. flour
- 5 cups hot milk
- 1 onion
- 1/4 ¼ tsp. Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Salt and white pepper
Heat butter in a pan, when melted, add flour and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes over low heat; stirring constantly.
Whisk in half of milk. Incorporate remaining milk and season. Drop in onion, stir in nutmeg and bring to a boil.
Cook sauce 8 – 10 minutes over low heat; stirring occasionally.
