Ingredients

  • 4

    Pork Chops (your preference

  • of boneless or bone-in)

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/8

    teaspoon pepper

  • 1

    tablespoon shortening or

  • vegetable oil

  • 1

(10 3/4 oz.) can cream of

  • mushroom soup (cream of chicken

  • or celery work well too)

  • 1

    (5 oz.) can evaporated milk

  • 1/3

    cup water

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Heat shortening or oil in 10 inch skillet; brown chops quickly in hot shortening (do not overcook or they will be dry). Mix soup, milk and water in bowl, using wire wisk to remove lumps. Grease a 2 qt. baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or additional shortening; place browned chops in baking dish. Pour soup mixture over and around chops. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until chops are tender. Note: Thin chops will take less time to cook.
