Applesauce

Ingredients

  • Note: these amounts yield one quart of sauce. Recipe can be easily doubled.
  • 8 tart apples
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Wash, pare, core, and slice apples. Place in saucepan and add water. Cover and simmer until apples fall apart when stirred.

Stir in remaining ingredients and cook 1 minute more.
