Chocolate Nut Drops

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 well beaten egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 (1-ounce) squares chocolate, melted
• 1 2/3 cups cake flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon soda
• 1/2 cup sweet or sour milk
• 1/2 cup nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and chocolate. Blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts.

Drop teaspoons 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Cool and frost.
