- 1 CUP MARGARINE OR BUTTER
- 2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP LIGHT KARO
- 1 TSP SALT
- 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
- 1 TSP VANILLA
- 6 QTS POPCORN KEPT WARM

Step 1
POP THE POPCORN AND BE SURE TO GET OUT ANY KERNALS THAT DIDN'T POP AND PUT IN OVEN TO KEEP WARM.
MELT BUTTER STIR IN SUGAR AND KARO AND SALT. BRING TO A BOIL STIRRING CONSTANTLY. BOIL WITHOUT STIRRING FOR 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND STIR IN SODA AND VANILLA. IT WILL BUBBLE UP STIR FAST, AND POUR OVER POPCORN, MIX WELL. POUR ONTO 2 LARGE COOKIE SHEETS AND BAKE AT 250 FOR 30 MINUTES. STIR AFTER 15 MINUTES IN THE OVEN. LET COOL AND PUT INTO AIR TIGHT CONTAINER.
