Bucket Pickles

Ingredients

  • 4 c sugar
  • 2 c 7% vinegar
  • 2 T pickling salt
  • 1 t tumeric
  • 1 t celery seed
  • 1 t mustard seed
  • cucs
  • onions

Preparation

Step 1

slice ice cream pail size amount of cucs into approximately 1/6th inch circles and onions into slices.

Boil brine and pour over cucs/onions mix, stir and leave 4 hours in the fridge. Drain brine from cucs/onion mix and boil. Stufff sealers with cuc/onion slices to 1/4 inch from top. Pour hot bring over to 1/4 inch. Wipe rims, turn lids tight. Will seal from heat of brine.
