Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 pkg (510 g) devil's food cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup seedless strawberry jam, divided
- Glaze and garnish:
- 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, divided
Preparation
Step 1
Brush Stoneware Fluted Pan with 1 Tbsp of oil. For cake, combine chocolate chips and oil. Microwave on High 30-60 seconds or until melted and smooth, whisking after 30 seconds. Add cake mix, eggs, water and 1/2 cup of the jam. Whisk until well blended. Pour batter into pan. Microwave on High 9-12 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Can also be baked at 350°F for 45-50 min. Invert cake onto plate and let stand 10 min before removing pan.
For glaze, combine ice cream and chocolate chips. Microwave on High 20-60 seconds, stirring at 20 second intervals, until melted and smooth.
To finish cake, microwave remaining jam on High 30 seconds or until melted. Brush evenly over cake. Holding by stems, dip 16 of the strawberries into chocolate glaze, arrange around bottom of cake. Drizzle top of cake with remaining glaze. Slice remaining strawberries and place into center of cake. Serve with additional ice cream, if desired.
