Apple Dumpling

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle Mountain Dew ™

Preparation

Step 1

Cut apples into 8 sliceseach. roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9X13 butter pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.
