Ingredients
- 24 fresh mushrooms, 1-1/2 to 2" diameter
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 2 teaspoons all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon dried savory, crushed
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- 1/2 cup finely chopped ham or bacon
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
Step 1
Wash mushrooms, drain. Remove stems from mushrooms, reserve caps. Chop stems to make 1 cup. Cook stems and onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, savory, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper, add wine and 2 tablespoons water.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, stir in ham and cheese. Fill caps and place in a 15x10x1" baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
