Ingredients

  • 3 # lb. spareribs
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Sauce;
  • 1 cup water
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 2/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Cut spareribs into serving pieces.
Dip ribs in beaten egg and then in flour, salt and pepper mixture.
Brown ribs well in hot oil.
Remove ribs from fry pan and place in casserole.
Combine water, ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar in sauce pan and bring to boil.
Mix cornstarch whith an additional 1/4 cup water and add to sauce.
Cook until sauce is thicken. Pour over ribs.
Bake uncovered in 275 oven for 2 hours
