Salsa Mix (dry spices for salsa)

Mix with canned tomatoes for a quick salsa, or cream cheese for a spread.
Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dried cilantro
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup garlic powder
- 1/2 cup dried chopped onion
- 1/2 cup dried sweet pepper flakes
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. pepper
Preparation
Step 1
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended. store in an airtight container.
For spicy salsa: blend 2 Tbsp. salsa mix with one 10 oz. can diced tomatoes and green chilies.
For mild salsa: blend 2 Tbsp. salsa mix with one 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes that have been finely chopped.
For a spread: blend 2 Tbsp. salsa mix with 1 cup softened cream cheese and serve with crackers.
Refrigerate all prepared mixtures overnight to allow flavors to blend.
Yield: about 2 3/4 cups mix
