Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 t cream of tartar
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/4 ¼ t salt
- 2 T sugar
- 2 t cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
In an electric mixer bowl put butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs to combine.
Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, and add gradually to the butter mixture on low speed, scraping down sides of bowl as needed. Chill dough for 30 minutes or longer.
Take pieces of the dough and roll into 1-inch size balls. Combine sugar and cinnamon and roll the balls in it. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 375° for 12-15 minutes. Remove coolies from baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
