Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 3 cups chopped, unpeeled Granny Smith apples
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/4 c sugar (1 cup is plenty)
  • Mix in 9x13 pan
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • Mix topping ingredients; sprinkle on top.
  • Bake 350 - 1 hour
  • Serve hot or at room temperature.

Preparation

Step 1

Variation-2 cans whole cranberries,
3 large apples, omit sugar. Use the same topping. Reduce cooking time to 35-45 minutes.
For smaller quantiy in square pan use 1 can cranaberries with 1 or 2 chopped apples.
You can change the oven temp if baking with another item that needs a higher or lower temperature. Fork test for doneness of apples.
