- 2 heads of raw broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
- 8 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 T sugar
- 2 T buttermilk ranch dressing
- 2/3 cups mayonnaise
- 1 T fresh lemon juice
In a large bowl, combine broccoli, bacon, onion and nuts.
Whisk together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the salad. Toss together. Refrigerate until well chilled.
Just before serving add the cheese and toss again.
