Mom's Rice with Beef and Tomatoes

  • 2 cups short grain organic rice (boil first 40 mins)
  • 2 cups water
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 tbl butter
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beed
  • 1/4 lb ground pork or sausage
  • 3 roma tomatoes diced
  • 1 diced celery stalk
  • dash cinnamin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder


Servings 6
Preparation time 5mins
Cooking time 30mins


Step 1

Cook 2 cups rice with 2 cups water
Add salt/pepper/butter at end

In a seperate pan, fry all meat
Add onion
Add celery
Add garlic powder
Add cinnamin

Add cooked rice and heat
Add tomatoes and heat 5 mins
Serve hot

Great the next day as well as side dish
