Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c. shortening
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 2/3 c. white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 1/2 c. flour
• 1 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 T. soda
• 1 tsp. hot water
• 1 pkg chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add ½ of dry ingredients. Dissolve soda in hot water and add remaining dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
