Place one slice turkey, cheese and ham on bread and top with another slice of bread. Cut sandwiches into quarters; hold sandwiches together with toothpicks. For batter: Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add water to egg and slightly beat. Add egg to flour mixture and beat until smooth. Dip sandwiches into batter. Heat oil in skillet, fry sandwiches until golden brown. Remove toothpicks and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
