Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan combine sugar, water & cream of tarter. Cook & stir until bubbly & sugar dissolves, cook 5 min. Beat egg whites in a small mixer bowl. Slowly add sugar mixture, beat constantly on high speed about 7 mins. Or until mixture forms stiff peaks. Add vanilla, then beat about 1 min. longer.
