Beef Stroganoff (Grandma Eva's)

Found in Grandma Eva's recipe box. It was on a recipe card from Janet Martin.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs. sirloin or round steak
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. tenderizer
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp. grated garlic
  • 3 cans sliced mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp. pale sherry
  • 6 tbsp. flour
  • 1 can beef bouillion
  • 3 bouillion cubes in 1 cup water
  • 1 pint sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients, except sour cream and meat. Put meat in and simmer for one hour. Add one pint of sour cream before serving. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes.
