Frozen Chocolate Dessert

Ingredients

  • 13 Oz can evaporated milk
  • 10½ Oz package miniature marshmallows
  • 6 Oz package semisweet chocolate morsels
  • ½ Cup butter or margarine
  • 3½ Oz can flaked coconut
  • 2 Cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ gallon vanilla ice cream
  • 1 Cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

•Combine first 3 ingredients in a double boiler. Cook until melted. Set aside to cool.
•Combine butter and coconut in saucepan over medium heat. Cook until coconut is lightly browned. Remove from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs. Press ¾ of crumb mixture into a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
•Cut ice cream crosswise into ½ inch thick slices. Arrange ½ of slices over graham cracker crust. Pour ½ of chocolate mixture over ice cream; then repeat the layers.
•Combine remaining crumb mixture & pecans. Sprinkle on top, cover & freeze until firm.
