Black Beans and Rice/Pasta with Veggies

  • Black beans/ red beans
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Onion
  • Green Pepper
  • Carrots
  • Potatoes
  • (You can pick which of these veggies you want to use)
  • Oil- olive is best, but others work and are cheaper
  • Rice/ Pasta (garlic and possibly onions)



Step 1

Soak the beans in water overnight.

Cut veggies and garlic in small cubes. Cook in oil with chicken or beef flavor cubes. Add beans and cover completely with water. Boil until they are soft. Usually around 1 hour or a little less. Serve with rice or pasta. (Usually rice is cooked in garlic and oil first and sometimes onions)
