Ingredients

  • Chocolate Batter:
  • 125 g semisweet chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Cream Cheese Batter:
  • 125 g cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Chocolate batter:
melt chocolate with butter. Beat eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar, continue beating until batter is thick and lemon coloured (about 5 minutes). Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla and chocolate to egg mixture. Stir in flour mixture, mix well.

Cheese batter:
Beat cheese with butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended. Spoon 1/2 of chocolate batter in a greased 8 x 8 pan. Cover with cream cheese. Top with spoonfuls of chocolate batter. Swirl with knife through layers to marble. Bake at 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until brownies pull away from sides. Cool pan on wire rack.
