Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chuck, cut in 1/2" cubes
  • 1-2 T oil
  • 28 oz. can tomatoes
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 ribs celery, sliced
  • 4 c. water
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 c couscous

Preparation

Step 1

1) brown beef cubes with oil in skillet

2) place veggies in bottom of cooker; add beef

3) combine all other ingredients except couscous in bowl. pour over items in cooker

4) cover; cook low 6 hours. stir in couscous. cover and cook 30 minutes longer
