• 1 C. shortening
• 2 C. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 C. pumpkin
• 1 tsp. nutmeg
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 4 C. flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 2 tsp. baking soda
• 4 tsp. baking powder
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 C. black walnuts (optional)

Step 1

Mix all ingredients well. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 425 for 10 mins, Glaze with a powdered sugar/water icing; dip when warm.
