Lemon Bars

Ingredients

  • Lemon Glaze:
  • 1 Cup flour
  • ½ Cup butter, softened
  • ¼ Cup powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoon water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, butter and powdered sugar; mix thoroughly. Spread in a 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together eggs, sugar, lemon juice and lemon rind and spread over first layer in pan. Return to oven for 25 minutes. When cool, frost with Lemon Glaze. Cut into bars. Makes 3 dozen.
